Boevers Curriculum

Boevers Elementary

E-Lab

One of our most popular spots is the outdoor class called the E-Lab or Environmental Learning. This class is made possible by combined community and school efforts. It is maintained by students and staff. It is certainly a multi-purpose room, perfect for art, reading, writing classes and anything from digging fossils to taking a quiet respite from daily activities.

Accelerated Math

This program is used as a supplement to our Every Day Math program. Students are able to progress through higher level math skills as they pass the individualized assessments offered through the program.

Character Counts

网上体育投注官网This program consists of special activities and events that celebrate the importance of character development. The “Six Pillars of Character” are Respect, Responsibility, Caring, Trustworthiness, Fairness, and Citizenship. Each quarter, we celebrate student character and recognize their application of the pillars to their own lives. Our school environment has been positively affected through the implementation of Character Counts.

Special Services

网上体育投注官网A wide variety of special services can be found at Boevers Elementary. One goal is to meet the needs of all students. Boevers has a speech therapist on staff as well as an ER1 Teacher that works with special needs students. Our gifted and talented students are serviced through our ARC or Academic Resource Center. The ARC teacher challenges all students though classroom integration and small group instruction. We also have a full time counselor on staff.

Boppin’ Bobcats

网上体育投注官网This select musical group features our fourth and fifth grade singers. The Boppin’ Bobcats perform at community and district wide ceremonies as well as school-based concerts. Students practice after school at least twice a week and more as concert appearances deem necessary.

Student Council

网上体育投注官网Student leaders are actively involved in school and community activities. Student Council also participates in many projects such as collecting books for homeless shelters, and many other service projects. Student council members are also responsible for collecting and sorting cans for the annual district canned food drive during the Thanksgiving Holiday.

Broadcast System

Students, along with the help of teacher Lydia Leslie, produce a daily news broadcast. Students tune into the school television station every morning for the lunch menu and other important information. The school broadcast system was purchased with school bond dollars.

Afterschool Enrichment Activities

网上体育投注官网Boevers offers a variety of afterschool activities to enrich students’ learning and development. Afterschool programs have included Guitar club, Hip Hop club, crochet class, Coding club, Builders club, reading/math support, Readers’ Theatre, Newspaper club, and Robotics.
